Speech and Language Pathologists

In our fast-paced world, effective listening, speaking and communication skills are essential. At Princeton Speech-Language & Learning Center, we believe “one size fits all” approaches do not work. We tailor our therapies to maximize each individual’s strengths and overcome his or her weaknesses.

All of our therapists are nationally certified speech-language pathologists. Speech-language pathologists are the only professionals qualified to assess, diagnose and treat:

Speech disorders. A speech disorder is when a person is unable to produce sounds correctly or fluently or has trouble with his or her voice. Examples include stuttering or difficulties producing certain sounds (articulation disorders).

Language disorders. A language disorder is when a person has trouble understanding others (receptive language) or has trouble sharing thoughts, ideas and feelings (expressive language).

Speech and language disorders can affect children and adults. While they can be the result of a medical condition such as a stroke, the cause is often not known.

Our Approach

Whether it’s improving a lisp or working with a child with auditory processing difficulties or teaching Executive Functioning skills, we use the most effective, research-based methods for the most rapid improvement. All of our therapists are nationally certified speech-language pathologists. They have extensive training and experience in the latest, most innovative treatment programs.

Our therapists have extensive training and experience in the latest, most innovative treatment programs such as Floortime, PROMPT, Auditory Verbal Therapy, and NDT (Neurodevelopmental Treatment.)

We also offer our clients access to the latest computer-based interventions to teach language, learning and communications skills in attention-grabbing ways.

Speech Pathologist Team

Our speech and language therapy team includes a talented group of certified speech-language pathologists (SLPs), learning disability consultants (LDT/Cs) and social communication specialists. They have extensive training and experience in the latest, most innovative treatment programs.

Our Speech Therapists Work With All Ages

Whether it’s helping a toddler struggling with his or her first words or helping an older child with a lisp, we use the most effective, research-based methods for the most rapid improvement. We also offer computer-based interventions to teach language, learning and communications skills in ways that can grab and keep a child’s attention.

Early Intervention Speech Therapy

We believe early detection and treatment of delays involving communication skills can greatly improve a child’s chance of success in school and in life. Pediatric speech therapy generally starts with kids who are at least 12 months old and have begun showing difficulties following simple commands. Once a delay has been identified, it’s never too early to begin speech-language therapy. We work with children starting around 12 to 18 months who are showing signs of speech and language delays.
