Movement for Confidence, Calm and Creativity
Getting kids moving, being creative and having fun!
This mindful movement class is a fun way to exercise in a non-competitive and nurturing environment. Moving energetically in novel and creative ways lets kids have fun and let off steam while getting stronger and more flexible. Weaving in gentle movement and mindful attention to breathing and physical sensations helps them feel calmer and more relaxed. We’ll also play games and do fun activities that encourage everyone to collaborate with partners and as part of a group.
This is a great class for kids who struggle with issues around impulsivity, inattentiveness or anxiety. The class is limited to 4 kids and is an opportunity to work as a team within a small group that is accepting and supportive.

Program Leader, Fran Swart
This class is taught by Fran Swart of Be Inspired Yoga™. Fran teaches therapeutic movement to people of all ages. She creates customized programs to meet the specific needs of the people in her classes.
Fran is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance, and a member of The International Association of Yoga Therapists. She teaches children’s yoga and mindfulness in schools and for children with special needs. She received her BA from Wellesley College.
